The garden has moved. The original plan was to place the tomatoes on our deck, and they did start there. I helped move them out of their original containers into bigger pots, and we placed them on the deck. The tomato plants were maybe six inches tall, but we went ahead and put tomato cages around them. They dwarfed the little plants, but as the days passed, the little plants grew. Continue reading
As summer ends and we enter fall, my garden has started to wind down. Only a few things are still growing, so this will probably be the last update for the year.
My zucchini never made it. It might have been too wet for them, I’m not quite sure, but I never saw a single baby zucchini. A few of the plants grew quite large and there were a lot of flowers, but nothing happened after that point. Continue reading
I ended up planting a small garden this year, and now I’m even more excited for the summer to come!
I’m not really a huge vegetable fan, but I’ve always liked the idea of planting a seed or small plant and having it produce something you can eat, so while I probably won’t be doing any of the eating, I’m excited for the growing. Which is going well, at least so far.
We went to Pike’s to get some small plants, and came back with a small assortment. Continue reading
